Preah Vihear Temple, also known as Prasat Preah Vihear, is an ancient Hindu temple located in the northern part of Cambodia, near the border with Thailand. It is situated on a steep cliff on the Dangrek Mountains, overlooking the Cambodian plain to the south. The temple was built during the Khmer Empire in the 11th and 12th centuries, during the reigns of several kings, including Suryavarman I and Suryavarman II.
